Bikram Essentials is a five-part mini posture session and live classwork series designed to deepen your understanding of the Bikram Yoga method through focused exploration of the postures.
Led by Anna Gina
A yoga instructor, nutrition plant medicine consultant, and athletic fitness trainer. Anna is a lifelong vegan and animal equality advocate. She completed Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in Los Angeles in 2006 and has been teaching, leading teacher re-certification, and serving as an International Yoga Competition Coach ever since. She is also certified in homeopathic nutritional medicine, Ayurvedic nutrition, and herbal medicine through the International Council for Homeopathy—in addition to over 500+ hours RYT in Restorative Yoga Therapy and BreathWork.
What Each Session Includes
Each two-hour session blends education and embodied practice:
45–50 minute mini posture clinic focusing on alignment, setup, technique, and common challenges
A guided Bikram Yoga class featuring:
Two rounds of the postures explored that day
One full round of the remaining postures for integration
Sessions build progressively across five weeks, but each workshop can also be taken individually.
Students who enroll in the full series receive all five workshops at a bundled rate.

Detailed Session Breakdown
Session 1: The Foundation (April 12,12:30-2:30 PM)
This session establishes the structural foundation of the series, focusing on spinal alignment, weight distribution, and how standing postures prepare the body for the floor.

Head to Knee & Stretching Pose (Janushirasana & Paschimotthanasana)

Session 2: One-Legged Balancing (April 19,12:30-2:30 PM)
This session builds balance, stability, and concentration while refining alignment in one-legged postures.

Standing Head to Knee (Dandayamana-Janushirasana)
Standing Bow Pose (Dandayamana-Dhanurasana)
Balancing Stick (Tuladandasana)
Session 3: The Hipsters (April 26,12:30-2:30 PM)
This session focuses on hip mobility, lateral strength, and lower-body stability while protecting the knees and lower back.

This session emphasizes spinal strength, mobility, and safe backbending through posterior-chain engagement.

This final session integrates the work of the entire series through deep floor postures, emphasizing patience, breath, and intelligent setup.
