Stop The World, I Want To Get Off!
Do you ever feel like there’s never enough time? Between work, family, and endless to-dos, it’s easy to slip into “reactive mode”—constantly responding to life instead of creating it. When you live here, your cortisol spikes, stress builds, and your energy drains.
Trust me, I know this very well. I run two studio locations, multiple employees and staff, I have three beautiful children with very different needs, I’m training a puppy, I’m involved civically and at church.
Oh, and there’s also me and what I need to do for me too.
But here’s the truth: your brain is built for more. You can unlock a different state—a place of clarity, creativity, and calm and, not have yourself come in last place. And your mat can totally support you in learning this and wiring it into your body.
So it’s not about getting off the ride, it’s about learning how to drive it. And these 5 simple steps will help you.
1. Reframe Your Mindset 🧠
Your brain follows the questions you ask it. Instead of:
“What do I have to do?” Ask: “What truly matters today?”
This simple shift directs your focus, reduces overwhelm, and unlocks clarity. Remember: self-care and movement aren’t indulgences—they’re fuel for peak performance. What does this mean? Whenever I feel that intense strain of overwhelm and I find myself going into my stories of how “I can’t do this…,” I know it’s time to get on my mat. I will always feel better after and be ready to face what I have with new clarity and newfound grace.
2. Prioritize Yourself ❤️
Your brain can’t run at full power if you’re always last on your own list. Schedule yourself like you would an important meeting. Boundaries aren’t barriers—they’re brain protection. By honoring your time, you recharge your focus, energy, and memory.
3. Move to Improve 💪
Movement is like fertilizer for your brain. Exercise lowers cortisol, sharpens mental clarity, and activates learning. Even one class a week is enough to prime your brain for growth. Treat it like a non-negotiable meeting with your best self.
4. Upgrade Your Language 🚫
The words you use shape your reality. Instead of saying, “I don’t have time,” say, “It’s not a priority right now.” Notice how that feels. Suddenly, the power shifts back to you. Excuses fade when your priorities align with your purpose.
When it comes to working out instead of saying “I don’t have time to work out,” say “I make time to workout because it gives me more focus, energy, and longevity.”
5. Create Brain-Boosting Ritual 🌿
Tiny habits create massive impact. Just 5–10 minutes a day can reset your brain and nervous system:
· Morning stretch or mobility to activate circulation
· Gratitude journaling to shift your state
· A mindful walk to refresh focus
Consistency beats intensity. Small rituals compound into superpowers.
Life will always bring challenges and chaos. The difference is how you respond. By reframing your mindset, prioritizing your energy, moving your body, and building small rituals, you shift from stress to strength—from reactive to proactive.
When you step into our studio, it’s not just exercise. It’s a brain upgrade. A pause to breathe, reset, and reconnect. Surrounded by community and guided movement, you train your body and your brain to unlock its highest potential.
Prioritize you. Move your body. Calm your mind. Your energy, focus, and clarity will thank you.
Cheers to you having all the time you need, Rosa.
